How much rain has Kuduremukh & Kottigehara received in 3 months?
@ Bharath
Kuduremukh date is not available
For comparison Kerekatte which is located 25 km north of Kundermukh and has annual average of 7124 mm.
Kerekatte has got 5982 mm
Kalasa which is 25 kms west of Kundermukh has got 3256 mm
Kottigehara which is 60 kms south of Kundermukh has got 3617 mm
Kerveshe which is 30 kms east of Kundermukh has got 4744 mm
Excellent- very interesting data...thanks..@ rajugana
Thank you Pradeep, I thought Kottigehara is among the heavy rainfall stations in the state.I believe the Kuduremukh region has received very heavy rainfall as there was heavy discharge, >1lakh cusecs from the Tungabhadra reservoir for several days.Kuduremukh region is the birth place of Netravati,Tunga & Bhadra rivers.
Kottigehara with average of over 5500 mm is also among the wettest places in Karnataka
But to me the Top 10 are
1. Amagaon
2. Hulikal
3. Agumbe
4. Mastikatte
4. Kerekatte
5. Gawali
6. Talacauvery
7. Suralbhi
8. Yadur
9. Mani Dam
10. Kogar
Hi Pradeep,
Can you tell me the highest
rainfall ever in a day in
agumbe,hulikal,kammardi
and sringeri.
Thanks
Harsha
Sorry dont have the data. The record for Karnataka in 24hrs is 820 mm by Bhagamandala
Thanks Pradeep for the data.Do you think Hulikal or any of the stations could reach 10000 mm of rainfall by the end of the year?
Thanks
Harsha
Hulikal and Amagaon will cross 10000 mm for the year.
